MEMBER SERVICES COORDINATOR: Full-time, permanent

Supporting role to management in Sales and Marketing. Key accountabilities covering Sales, Marketing, Communications, Web management, and member services within a high energy, fast-paced environment focused on serving members, the business community, and Nanaimo at large.

Must have prior experience in a professional services environment. Strong proficiency with technology and software platforms is required, including: Office 365, CRM, communications, email marketing, web management. Must have own vehicle and reside in the mid-Island area.

Primary Accountabilities:

Member Services:

  • Provides support to the Membership process including onboarding and retention
  • Fulfills and stewards the delivery of member services as outlined by the membership agreement
  • Coordinates the Chamber’s Ambassador program (key volunteers)

 

Sales and Marketing:

  • Assists and participates with the overall sales process including lead generation and direct sales
  • Executes strategic marketing initiatives and tactics to achieve sales and marketing goals
  • Develop relationships with current and prospective members to increase member engagement

 

Communications:

  • Executes the organization’s strategic Social Media presence (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Executes the organization’s email marketing initiatives (newsletters, eBlasts)
  • Works closely with management to help communicate all promotions and special events

 

Web Content:

  • Executes general website content management including event registrations, member profiles
  • Supports marketing and promotional content including web banners, event pages

The Chamber is committed to starting all positions at a living wage. Reconsideration of the starting compensation is initiated upon a 90 day probationary review.
